Todd Morgan Beamer, 32, was a passenger on United Airlines Flight 93 during the September 11, 2001 attacks. When hijackers took control of the plane, Beamer, along with other passengers, made a heroic attempt to reclaim the aircraft. During the struggle, the plane lost control and crashed into a field in Stonycreek Township near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Though all on board were killed, their bravery is believed to have prevented a larger catastrophe by stopping the hijackers from reaching thei
