Something a bit special for this #FossilFriday I’m holding some of the fossils studied and even described by Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States, who was also a pioneering palaeontologist! You read that correctly. On March 4, 1801, 224 years ago this week, Thomas Jefferson became president. Though Jefferson is renowned as the principal author of the Declaration of Independence, he also had a keen interest in fossils and natural history and even had his own fossil collectio
