Snow leopards have a white-gray coat spotted with large black rosettes that helps them blend in perfectly with steep and often snow-covered rocky mountains. They play a key role in their ecosystem, as both a top predator and as an indicator species in their high-altitude habitat. If snow leopards thrive, so will countless other species.
