Animal activists allegedly broke into a Goulburn abattoir early this morning to chain themselves to machinery and disrupt production. It was just one of many protests across the country, which included a group of 20 people who halted traffic in Melbourne's CBD. Of the Goulburn group, nine were arrested and charged with trespass.
