One of New Zealand’s first brands originated from sheep. Sheep farms had their own brand names & logos engraved on the woolshed and stencilled on their wool bales. These brands were a signature conveying the quality of the wool and a reputation of the farm it came from. Some brands carried farming family initials and others the original Māori name.
