Nursing our respiratory patients isn’t as simple as ‘putting them on oxygen’. Flow-by, mask, prongs, nasal cannulas, oxygen kennel... They’re not one size fits all. Each method delivers a different amount of oxygen (and causes a different level of stress for the patient) - and we need to consider this when advocating for these patients. Because yes, while our vets are going to be selecting an appropriate method, they’re doing that based on OUR assessments of the patient as well as their own. So
