Sean "Diddy" Combs, who elevated hip-hop in American culture while building a music and clothing empire that made him a billionaire, faces a sex trafficking trial next month that could cement the rapper's shattered reputation - or offer him a shot at redemption.

Prosecutors revealed in court that Sean 'Diddy' Combs was offered a plea deal, while a judge also said the Cassie hotel video could be shown at trial.

A federal prosecutor also disclosed at a hearing Friday that the government had offered Combs a plea deal, which he rejected.
