Mississippi freshman defensive lineman Corey Adams, a three-star recruit from New Orleans, was shot and killed Saturday night near Memphis, Tenn. He was 18.

Prayers are pouring in after an SEC football player died at 18 years old.

"We are devastated to learn that Corey Adams, a freshman on the team, passed away last night in Cordova, Tennessee," the Ole Miss football team said in a statement.
