Baylor Scheierman set the tone, with the sophomore forward registering 13 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals. However, Scheierman's perimeter struggles limited his overall impact, as he went 1-of-7 from deep.

A stellar first-half defensive effort and another impressive double-double performance from Charles Bassey propelled the Boston Celtics to a 94-81 win over the New York Knicks in an NBA 2K26 Summer League battle at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Sunday.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Dalzell said she believes Boston is a “very viable destination” for nine-time All-Star Damian Lillard. Dalzell’s post reads as follows:

According to Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe, Jayson Tatum is playing a significant role in recruiting Lillard to the TD Garden. Tatum is also out due to an Achilles tear, but it would appear that he's already planning for his return to the rotation, either toward the end of the 25-26 season or at the start of the 26-27 campaign.

Tatum is looking to convince Damian Lillard to join the Celtics after he was waived by the Milwaukee Bucks, according to the Boston Globe. Both players tore their Achilles during the NBA playoffs and will miss most, if not all, of the 2025-26 season.
