OXFORD — Ole Miss women’s basketball beat Mississippi State in a lopsided, wire-to-wire win. The No. 17 Rebels (16-3, 3-1 SEC) took care of MSU 93-68 at SJB Pavilion on Jan. 11. It’s their fourth consecutive win against the Bulldogs (14-4, 1-3) and their first 20-point win in the rivalry since 1997.
The Rebels return to action on Thursday night, hit the road to Columbia for an SEC showdown against Missouri.
The Rebels were led by Cotie McMahon in scoring. She scored 19 points, 12 of which came in the fourth quarter. She missed two free throws with four seconds left that would have made it a 1-point deficit, and missed a game-tying shot at the buzzer.
