Legendary Men's College Basketball Star Dead Tuesday At 53
One of the greatest players in the history of Syracuse basketball has reportedly passed away. On Tuesday, former Orange guard Lawrence Moten, who starred for the school in the early to mid-'90s, was reportedly found dead in his Washington D.
In 2014, Auburn hired Pearl to take over its program, and he went on to win 246 games with the Tigers, including a 112-83 mark in SEC play. The highlight of his run came in 2019 when Auburn reached the Final Four for the first time in school history.
Lawrence Moten, who still holds the Syracuse basketball career scoring record with 2,334 points, died Tuesday at his Washington, D.C., home.
