Emma Raducanu is the British No. 1 again after a barnstorming start to her hardcourt season. The Brit reached the semi-finals of the Citi Open in both singles and doubles, with Elena Rybakina, and has been rewarded for her displays by overtaking Katie Boulter in the WTA rankings.

Tennis star Anna Kalinskaya celebrated her Citi D.C. Open semifinals win against Emma Raducanu with her dog, Bella, on Saturday. It was her second instance.

Emma Raducanu takes on Greek wildcard Maria Sakkari in the quarter-finals of the Washington Open today. Raducanu saw off Naomi Osaka in straight sets in the second round, having stunned seventh seed Marta Kostyuk in her opening match.

If victorious, she would set up an emotional final against either Leylah Fernandez, her championship match opponent at Flushing Meadows, or doubles teammate and third seed Rybakina. The doubles withdrawal came as little shock given Raducanu's remarks following her victory over Sakkari.
