YORK — Sheila Noll was appointed chair of the York County Board of Supervisors at the group’s organizational meeting Tuesday. Noll, who previously served as vice chair, is in her eighth term on the board, replacing Stephen Roane Jr. as chair. Doug Holroyd, who is newly elected, was appointed vice chair on Tuesday.

With its two new members and a returning incumbent sworn in Saturday, Napa became only the second California county, after Los Angeles in 2020, to reach the milestone of having women hold all the seats on its Board of Supervisors.
