New episodes of Sesame Street are in the works after Elmo and pals' partnership with HBO Max ended, but with some changes.

Netflix has stepped in to save Sesame Street, signing a deal with Sesame Workshop to air new episodes on both the streaming platform and PBS.

As per the new Netflix deal, episodes of Sesame Street will also be available day and date on PBS stations and across PBS Kids digital platforms. Sesame Street has been available on PBS for more than 50 years, but this is a notable change from the HBO deal, under which episodes only aired on PBS months after their HBO Max premiere.
