Former Tottenham Hotspur and Everton midfielder Dele Alli has signed an 18-month deal with promoted Serie A side Como, with an option to extend for an additional year, the Italian club said on Sunday.

Dele Alli has joined Serie A struggler Como in the latest attempt to revive his career. Alli has signed an 18-month contract with an option to extend for an additional 12 months and the 28-year-old could make his debut against Udinese on Monday.

He was once one of the most coveted talents in the English game before his career and life took a downward turn.  Now former England midfielder Dele Alli has joined Serie A strugglers Como in the latest attempt to revive a vocation that promised so much.

Dele Alli will aim to get his football career back on track in Italy after signing an 18-month deal with Como. The former Tottenham midfielder has not played competitively since the 2023 after a lengthy lay-off due to injury, addiction and mental health problems, but will link up with the Serie A club managed by Cesc Fabregas.

Dele has not played professionally since appearing for Besiktas on loan in February 2023, but will now have the chance to shine with the Serie A side.

The Athletic reported that the Serie A side were open to letting the 28-year-old train with them as he continued his recovery from a long-term injury,

Dele Alli signed for ambitious Como on Sunday as the former England international makes a comeback after being released by Everton at the end of last season.
