The heads of Britain, Italy, Finland and France will join Ukraine's president who is under US pressure to accept a deal to end Russia's war on terms that would be difficult to accept.

European leaders announced Sunday they would join Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Washington on Monday as they seek to navigate America's new approach to ending the war.

Sir Keir Starmer and five other European leaders will accompany Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Washington, in a major show of unity ahead of peace talks with Donald Trump. The Ukrainian war leader will land in the US as he returns to the White House after President Trump’s meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
