Connor Bedard and goalie Spencer Knight are two players with whom the 'Hawks can begin contract extension talks this summer.

NHL free agency began on Tuesday, and the Chicago Blackhawks kicked off the week with a trade. The Blackhawks announced Tuesday morning that the team has re-acquired forward Sam Lafferty in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres.

Hawks general manager Kyle Davidson has now executed a whopping four Lafferty trades — three in which he has acquired the speedy forward.
