Ryanair’s chief executive has said the low-cost carrier could register some new aircraft in the UK to avoid any tariffs that the EU might levy on deliveries from the US’s Boeing in the global trade war.

Ryanair Holdings Plc said that any tariff cost would be on Boeing Co. to bear, as the Irish budget airline demanded a return to a no-duties regime that that has governed the industry for close to half a century.

Ryanair Holdings (NASDAQ:RYAAY) (OTCPK:RYAOF) on Monday asserted that any tariff-related costs should be absorbed by Boeing (NYSE:BA), as the Irish low-cost carrier firmly called for a reinstatement of the long-standing no-tariff framework that has underpinned the aviation industry for nearly 50 years.
