According to NWS, winter storm warnings are in effect across the Great Lakes, including Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin, for Wednesday, Nov. 26, which is considered a peak travel day. On Thanksgiving Day, snow could fall in some Midwestern states, while rain is expected in the Pacific Northwest.

The cold is coming and some snow is expected for most of Metro Detroit on Wednesday - however, it's the wind that will be the main weather factor today.
Forecasters say a cold front will sweep through the Garden State region Wednesday night, ushering in much colder and windier conditions for Thanksgiving Day.
The National Weather Service reports moisture with this most recent system has been on the low side with less than 0.15 inches of rain recorded in the valleys from late Monday through 8 p.m. Tuesday. Wednesday’s rain will be more robust, and an additional half inch is possible in the metro area.
