Four people were killed and another was injured in a wrong-way crash on the New Jersey Turnpike early Sunday, New Jersey State Police said. The accident occurred at about 12:42 a.m. on the southbound side, near milemarker 1.3 in Carneys Point.
A tractor-trailer overturned and spilled a load of lumber onto I-287 at the entrance ramp for the New Jersey Turnpike on Friday morning. The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. right at the entry plaza for Exit 10, impacting drivers trying to get onto the turnpike. The southbound lanes of I-287 were backed up for more than a mile.
