Sony’s annual Days of Play event is reportedly set to kick off this week according to leaker Billbil-kun, who also claims that the event will see the first round of PS5 Pro discounts.
“The 9-minute Technical Presentation will focus on PS5 and innovations in gaming technology.” Back in 2016, Sony held a similar event to announce the arrival of the PS4 Pro.
To put that into perspective, the PS4 Pro was $399 at launch, while the PS5 launched at $499. We’ll see if Sony can sell such a pricey upgrade at the event on Tuesday.
The PS5 Pro, should it be real, would signal Sony following a formula. Sony also released a PlayStation 4 Pro in November 2016.
