The Miami Dolphins fired coach Mike McDaniel on Thursday following a 7-10 season in which Miami missed the playoffs for the second straight year.

Mike McDaniel has been fired as head coach of the Miami Dolphins.

Despite being a relative unknown at the time, the Dolphins took a shot on McDaniel, who immediately delivered back-to-back playoff appearances in his first two seasons with the team.
