England extended their winning record in World Cup qualifying to seven straight games with a comfortable 2-0 win over Serbia thanks to two stunning strikes.

England’s best move of a poor first half was a surging one-two between Bellingham and Kane that ended with Bowen shooting at Thomas Strakosha. In the second half, restored to a conventional No 10 role, Bellingham looked much better.

The Arsenal summer signing had a flying volley saved onto the bar by the Serbia goalkeeper, and just before full-time he fired a curling effort into the top corner for 2-0.
