Mohamed Salah has been named the Premier League Player of the Year after scoring 28 goals as Liverpool clinched a second Premier League title. He becomes just the fifth player to win the award on multiple occasions, following Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, and Nemanja Vidic.

There may have been an eight-player shortlist for the award, but in truth, there was only ever going to be one winner. Salah, the winner from 2017–18 as well, has racked up 28 goals and 18 assists to date, leading the Premier League in both ranks.
