National League leadoff man Shohei Ohtani fell behind 0-2 before slapping a single to center. Ronald Acuña Jr. also battled to two strikes before beating out a dribbler to second for an infield hit.

The NL chose Kyle Stowers from the Marlins, Kyle Schwarber from the Phillies and Pete Alonso from the Mets. Schwarber was the hero. Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal asked him before he strolled to the plate if he was feeling any pressure. "A little bit," Schwarber replied with a chuckle.
