Ruben Amorim needs to raise funds to buy players in January. A swap deal involving Marcus Rashford could help his squad makeover at Old Trafford.

Rashford made Manchester United's matchday squad ahead of the Red Devils' Premier League fixture against Newcastle United. Although the winger did not make Ruben Amorim's XI, he is on the bench for what could be his first involvement since he played against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on Dec. 12.

However, with his squad stretched by the packed festive schedule Amorim has returned the 27-year-old to the bench for the meeting with Newcastle at Old Trafford. Joshua Zirkzee, Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo were named as starters in attack.
