Rather than pushing through projects that aren't ready, it seems the Guardians of the Galaxy director isn't afraid to axe bad scripts. This might be an encouraging sign for fans, especially those who were dissatisfied with the peaks and valleys of DC's previous shared universe.

James Gunn recently revealed that Doctor Fate was one of the superheroes shown in the mural in his recent movie, Superman. Apart from that, he also shared whether the Flash shown in the Hall of Justice mural was Jay Garrick.

Superman stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor and David Corenswet as the Man of Steel. The movie isn't an origin story; it picks up when Superman is already well-known (and moments after he loses any fight-winning streak he previously had).
