The reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers avoided the dreaded 0-3 series hole on the strength of an overtime goal Friday night to climb back into their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Florida Panthers outlasted the Toronto Maple Leafs in overtime to cut the deficit to 2-1 in the Eastern Conference matchup. Toronto sent the game to overtime with a third-period equalizer, but the Panthers rebounded and picked up a huge win on home ice.
