George Russell celebrated Mercedes' first win of the Formula One season in Canada on Sunday while McLaren's Oscar Piastri went 22 points clear in the championship after teammate Lando Norris smashed into him and retired.

This will give Russell the confidence boost in the final laps of this Canadian Grand Prix, especially with Max Verstappen the guy chasing him. The purple stopwatch is parked up by Lando Norris' name but the overtake hasn't presented itself to the Briton yet.
