Israel and Iran launched fresh attacks on each other overnight into Sunday, killing scores and raising fears of a wider conflict, as US President Donald Trump said it could be ended easily while warning Tehran not to strike any US targets.

Missiles and projectiles were seen in the skies over Jerusalem and Tel Aviv early on Sunday as Tehran unleashed a fresh attack on Israel which in turn launched an expanded assault on Iran.

US President Donald Trump expressed hope that Israel and Iran could reach a ceasefire amid ongoing hostilities but acknowledged that “sometimes they have to fight it out.” Trump said he believes there’s “a good chance” of a deal eventually being reached.

Iran’s state TV just announced that the country has started the second wave of its True Promise Operation Three on Israel tonight. The state TV said that this time the attack is a combination of drones and "more than 100" missiles, with Haifa and Tel Aviv being the main target tonight.
