Google on Tuesday revealed new Android development tools, a new mobile AI architecture, and an expanded developer community. The announcements accompanied the unveiling of an AI Mode for Google Search at the Google I/O keynote in Mountain View, California.

Google I/O 2025 was dedicated to AI. At its annual developer conference, Google announced updates that put more AI into Search, Gmail, and Chrome. Its AI models were updated to be better at making images, taking actions, and writing code.

Google announced a slew of updates to the Gemini app, including a rollout of its Gemini Live video and screen sharing features.
